Victorian Premier Daniel Andrew confirms Melbourne will go into a five-day snap lockdown from midnight tonight to curb the growing COVID outbreak.

The lockdown will run until Tuesday July 20.

There will only be five reasons to leave the home: care giving, essential work, education if it cannot be done from home, for medical reasons and to get vaccinated.
