He’s been a vocal critic of Israel’s actions, even writing an op-ed for the New York Times on the matter. Former naval intelligence officer John Jordan weighs in. (11:29)

Hope for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine is growing, along with continued international pressure on Israel to ease its bombardment of Gaza.
