White South Africans Granted Refugee Status Arrive in U.S.

Dozens of white South Africans arrived on Monday on a chartered jet after being granted refugee status by the Trump administration, which has made it virtually impossible for any other refugees to seek safe haven in America.

The arrival, on an Omni Air flight funded by the U.S., represents a drastic reversal in U.S. refugee policies, which have long focused on helping people fleeing war, famine and genocide.
