Donald Trump spent Monday scrambling to find a qualified Florida lawyer willing to join his defense team as he faces the Justice Department’s first prosecution of a former president. Veteran Florida litigator Christopher Kise led the search.

On Tuesday, Trump pleaded not guilty to federal charges he broke the law by keeping and hiding top secret documents in his Florida home.
