The Elsa Li Jones Collaboration With Global House Music Impresario StoneBridge

NEW YORK (RichXSearch.com) – The music industry’s ongoing hunt for “the next big thing” often plows up underground cultures. For decades, dance music from Europe, went unnoticed by mainstream America. But with the resurgence of new house music wave, dance music from Europe has been eliciting underground exploration. Now the genre appears ready to thrive (again), but the idea had infiltrated American mainstream culture during the electronic dance music boom, when music was razored apart, stripped, then reconstructed. In 2015, Elsa Li Jones teamed up with StoneBridge and scored a Billboard number one dance-floor hit ‘If You Like It’. Back to the present – among the more funky tracks, we have heard  today is StoneBridge – ‘Somebody’ — as interpreted by Elsa Li Jones. It’s house music, it’s hip, it’s funky and it’s breaks all rolled into a futuristic deep house soundtrack -tuneful but twisted, the definition of the house sound.

Swedish Superstar DJ StoneBridge

Sweden Has A Fascinating Musical History

StoneBridge feat. Elsa Li Jones – ‘Somebody’ features exclusive mixes from StoneBridge & Lil’ Joey amongst others. Fast breaking on tastemaking Spotify playlists in the U.S., the primary credit for this irresistible gem goes to StoneBridge, who did an astonishing job. Only a house music whose psychic axis is the Stockholm dance scene could so successfully merge funky house elements. Sweden has a fascinating musical history for DJs and yes, also for music producers. StoneBridge, responsible for dance-floor euphoria, was fascinated by Roland Juno’s synthesiser when it first appeared. “Future technology interests me a lot,” says StoneBridge. “I used the synthesizer like I would use a (DJ) turntable,” he added. He had also been running the Swedish DJ/remix outfit SweMix, and StoneBridge´s remix of Robin S’s Show Me Love went on to be a huge global hit. It was an enormous international hit and inspired many DJs to make electronic dance music. “It was an absolute surprise,” StoneBridge says. “I never thought it could work that well, and I said, Wow!” The work of StoneBridge was important because it changed the way DJs made electronic dance music.
