The Supreme Court struck down most of President Donald Trump’s tariffs in a 6-3 ruling on Friday.
The court said Trump didn’t have authority under the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to put tariffs on goods from nearly all of the U.S. trading partners.
Trump said he would replace the import taxes the court overturned with a 10 percent global tariff using different trade laws than the one the court ruled on.
At a White House news conference, he called the justices who sided against him a “disgrace to our nation.”
