A group of women in the Indian state of Manipur have attacked the home of the main suspect in a sexual assault case that has triggered widespread protests.

This came after the authorities arrested four men in connection with a viral video showing two abducted women from the minority Kuki community being paraded naked and assaulted by a mob.

On Thursday, parliament’s session in Delhi was disrupted as lawmakers demanded a debate on the issue.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said the incident had “shamed India” and that “no guilty will be spared”.
