Israel has intensified its airstrikes on Gaza, with communications cut off.
The BBC’s Rushdi Abualouf, speaking via satellite phone from Khan Younis in Gaza, said people are “in panic” after internet and phone lines were cut.
“People are afraid of the next stage of the [Israeli] operation”, he said.
