The Victorian government have announced a further easing of restrictions, as the state is expected to pass the 90 percent vaccination rate by the weekend.

Most remaining Victorian restrictions will be lifted at midnight with no density limits for pubs, cafes and restaurants – dance floors will be open and people will be allowed to stand up to drink. There will be no limit to home visits or outdoor gatherings.

Masks will remain for primary school staff and visitors and students from year 3-6. Hospitality workers, indoor retail staff and visitors to hospital and aged care will still need to wear a mask. Travel on public transport, in a taxi or a rideshare vehicle will also require a mask.
