For 40 years the world has been sold neoliberal economics that was promoted and propagated by big business in the USA. We were told that free-markets, easy regulations, inflation-targeting, hire-and-fire-rules, low fiscal deficits are essential ingredients in cooking up economic growth. In reality, what it has done is made the rich even richer, and disenfranchised the working class.
