H.265 on the Canon C70 only gives us 16-bit sound, but our Hollyland wireless mics output 24-bit. So in this episode we ditch H.265, move to the camera’s middle XF-AVC codec, and head outside to see if the new 24-bit workflow really fixes the clipping that’s haunted every take so far.
Along the way we:
• set up the mics in a windy park
• film extra shots for an upcoming “spotlight” short
• talk gear, fear, and why honest sound matters for the 100-docs mission
Chasing what scares us, one tweak at a time. If you’ve got questions about codecs or audio, drop them in the comments.
