Join Washington Post reporters as King Charles III and Queen Camilla are coronated as king and queen of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms. Charles will be crowned monarch and the head of the Church of England before 2,000 guests at Westminster Abbey, nearly eight months after the funeral of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and U.S. first lady Jill Biden will be in attendance, alongside heads of state, representatives from the Houses of Parliament and other royals. Prince Harry will be present without his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

On the morning of their coronation, Charles and Camilla will ride from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach. During the nearly two-hour-long service, Charles will swear to uphold the law and the Church of England, before being anointed and crowned. A similar ceremony for Camilla will follow. After the service, they will return to Buckingham Palace in the Gold State Coach. Armed forces from across the Commonwealth and British territories will accompany the king and queen along a 1.3-mile coronation procession. Back at Buckingham Palace, the king and queen will appear on the balcony alongside other working members of the royal family.

Libby Casey will anchor live coverage, along with Sarah Hewson and Rhonda Colvin, from Wesminster. James Hohmann will be live from Buckingham Palace. Read more: https://wapo.st/3NdUDwr. Subscribe to The Washington Post on YouTube: https://wapo.st/2QOdcqK
