New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian provides an update of COVID-19 cases in the state. Greater Sydney is in its sixth week of lockdown.

Berejiklian says a man in his 20s has died at his south-west Sydney home after contracting COVID-19.

A woman in her 80s has also died from COVID-19 at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Berejiklian also says Year 12 students in Greater Sydney and its surrounds may not return to face-to-face learning on August 16.
