The jury has reached a verdict in former President Donald Trump’s New York criminal hush money trial, which centers on allegations that he falsified business records to hide a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Prosecutors charged Trump with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. They allege Trump falsified the records to conceal unlawfully interfering in the 2016 presidential election through the $130,000 hush money payment, making the falsification charges felonies. They also allege Trump unlawfully interfered in the election through a plan to falsify other records and commit tax fraud.
